Flatter, stated “We couldn’t be more proud of our CEO upon her selection to this prestigious board set.  And we continue to be honored by her sustained commitment to community service on not only this United Way Board seat, but also her service in the business community with our local Chamber of Commerce and other non-profit and for-profit Mentorship she provides.”

Rappahannock United Way has been an integral part of our local community for over 75 years. RUW was formed in 1939 as the Community Care Fund: a voluntary community organization intent upon raising and distributing charitable contributions to benefit the community. Since then, the organization has grown and evolved to meet the needs of our community. Thousands of volunteers have given their time through RUW to improve the social and economic well-being of residents in Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford counties and the city of Fredericksburg. Their mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of the community.
